1. Refund for Duplicate Registrations

If a participant registers multiple times by mistake, Flipr Labs will initiate a refund for the excess amount paid. Only one registration will be considered valid, and the additional payments made due to duplicate registrations will be refunded. To process the refund, the participant must provide proof of duplicate transactions, including payment receipts and registration details.

Once verified, the refund will be processed within 7-10 business days and credited back to the original payment method used during registration. Participants are encouraged to review their registration details carefully before making payments to avoid duplicate transactions.

2. Cancelling the registration in order to add a team member

If a team wishes to modify their existing registration by adding a new member, the team must cancel their initial registration. A full refund will be issued for the amount paid during the initial registration process, and the team will be required to re-register with the updated team composition.

To initiate the refund process, the team representative must send an official request via email along with the initial registration details. Once verified, the refund will be processed within 7-10 business days, and the new registration must be completed within the specified deadline for team modifications. This ensures that all participants are correctly documented and accounted for in the hackathon system.

3. Refund for Event Cancellation by Flipr Labs

In the unlikely event that Flipr Labs cancels a hackathon due to unforeseen circumstances such as venue issues, logistical problems, or government regulations, a full refund will be provided to all registered participants. The refund will be processed within 10-15 business days of the cancellation announcement. Participants will be notified via email with further details regarding the refund process.

4. Refund for Technical Payment Failures

If a participant's payment is deducted but their registration is not confirmed due to technical issues, Flipr Labs will verify the transaction details and process a refund for the failed payment. The participant must provide proof of the failed transaction, including bank statements or payment gateway receipts. Once verified, the refund will be processed within 7-10 business days.

5. General Refund Conditions

Refunds will be processed only for the specific cases mentioned above. Other refund requests, including participant unavailability, change of plans, personal reasons, or dissatisfaction with the event, will not be entertained.

All refund requests must be submitted via support@fliprlabs.com with supporting documentation such as payment receipts, transaction IDs, and registration confirmations.

Refunds will be issued using the same payment method used for registration. Flipr Labs is not responsible for delays caused by payment gateway providers or financial institutions.

Once a refund is processed, the participant will receive a confirmation email. Depending on the payment provider, the amount may take a few additional days to reflect in the account.

Flipr Labs reserves the right to decline refund requests if they do not comply with the terms outlined in this policy.
